Founded by seasoned pet-industry leaders Kristina and Lisa, The Gilded Pet Spa and Boutique brings together over eighty years of collective pet care expertise. When they were introduced in 2024, their shared ethos was immediate: beauty should never come at the expense of well-being. Lisa sought a distinguished home for her multi-generational clientele, while Kristina sought a visionary partner who shared her steadfast philosophy of safety above all else.
In fewer than six months, a mutual respect evolved into a shared calling: to design a bespoke grooming retreat tailored to the most discerning clients and their beloved companions. Rooted in culinary-grade care, skin-and-coat wellness, and quiet, spa-inspired pampering, The Gilded Pet Spa is where four-legged guests are treated like royalty.

With a distinguished career spanning 47 years at the highest echelon of pet styling, Lisa is one of the region’s most revered grooming professionals. Her career began with 23 years managing and expanding a premier grooming salon, mastering salon operations and cultivating an exceptional standard of client care. Channelling that momentum and expertise, she went on to found, build, and operate her own acclaimed salon from the ground up for over two decades.
Holding credentials in AKC Safety, Pet First Aid, and Pet CPR, Lisa’s signature hallmark is her serene demeanor and an unmatched ability to instill immediate calm in both pets and their owners. For Lisa, trust is paramount: multiple client families have remained loyal to her care across three generations of pets.
At The Gilded Pet Spa and Boutique Lisa ensures every dog is pampered with regal gentleness and meticulous safety protocols. Beyond the salon, she cherishes time spent with her husband, her two adored felines, and her growing family of grandchildren.

Kristina’s lifelong journey in pet hospitality began in 1991, establishing a foundation rooted in trust, personalized service, and unconditional love for animals. An entrepreneurial force in the luxury pet lifestyle space, she founded her first artisanal pet bakery and boutique in 2003, followed by a distinguished retail storefront in 2011.
In 2017, Kristina expanded her vision into fine grooming with the launch of the celebrated Barkley Square & Boutique, which she continues to own and direct. Dedicated to the pinnacle of coat and skin wellness, she earned her Canine Aesthetician certification in 2024, infusing a science-backed understanding of skin biology and restorative therapies into every guest’s experience. At The Gilded Pet, she curates an elevated sensory atmosphere, pairing bespoke treatments with an exclusive boutique collection.
Outside the spa, Kristina’s greatest joy is her family: she shares life with her supportive husband, their twin daughters, and a lively household where she is happily “owned” by three Chihuahuas and a beloved cat. In her spare time, you will often find her in her home gym conquering the latest fitness challenge, diving into cutting-edge dermatological research to advance pet care, or mentoring the next generation of industry leaders.
